Description:
Yes! We have true, beautiful LAVENDER Ameraucanas! These are not "Easter Eggers," nor are they the "Araucanas" some other hatcheries sell (which are really Easter Eggers, too). These are the real deal.
Ameraucanas have a sweet temperament. They're hardy in heat and cold alike, and they lay pretty, light blue to greenish blue eggs.

This was my first hatchery purchase as I usually purchase from local breeders. I was nervous - especially with shipping. But - there was not a thing to be nervous over. It was the easiest transaction ever.
The customer service is prompt and fantastic. I forgot to enter my email address on the order and therefore could not find it to track it- that was quickly addressed.
Shipping was very fast and accurate. My chicks arrived the next day - packed well - healthy - alert - and very very cute.
I also loved the variety of breeds available and being able to mix and match.
Would not hesitate to order again or to recommend to others looking to purchase chicks.

Baby Chicks: Lavender Ameraucana Female
After seeing the beautiful pictures on MPC we ordered 2 Lavender Ameraucanas. The first one came sick and sadly passed away a few days later. The second unfortunately turned out to be a rooster. I think it should be noted ours came from Ohio and the NPIP papers I received said “Meyer’s Hatchery”. Their websites Lavender Ameraucana picture looks much different than MPC’s. Our Lavender Am has the rough looking darker feathers like the one on Meyers website and is not half as good looking in my opinion as MPC’s picture. Despite not getting to have a Lav Am for our flock MPC was very good to work with and I received refunds for both of them.

We were truly sorry to hear about the loss of you chick shortly after arrival and then the unfortunate sexing error of your Lavender Ameraucanas. While we're glad we could provide a refund, we understand it doesn't replace the chicks you were expecting. Though we think your little ones are beautiful, we are sorry if you are not completely satisified with their appearance, It is almost impossible to know exactly how our babies will look like after their mature feathers come in. When we ship them, they are usually little fluff balls of down. Your feedback is important and we take each customer's views seriously to refine our services and evalutate our breeding flocks. If you have any further concerns, please reach out to us.

I have kept chickens for more than fifteen years. I've never had a chicken lay this sort of vibrant blue--almost teal. It's stunning. And it helps that she's just the sweetest bird, ever. She loves us and the kids and perches on our arm like she's a parrot. BRAVO. Beautiful hen, STUNNING egg.

This is such a lovely subtle color. I have two adults in my flock and had to add more. They have really good feather quality without any shreading that you can sometimes get, they lay smaller eggs right now but they're still young. I added 5 more and they're all looking healthy and growing fast. Excited to eventually get them name tags custom made so I can actually tell them apart which is the only issue with identical birds! :D

This was my first time purchasing from a hatchery. I had purchased from RK/TSC previously. I will never go back! I had a wonderful experience with MPC! My little Lavender Ameraucana is my lap buddy. And those cheeks as a baby!

These are not purebred ameraucanas.
I purchased two females last summer and both of them lay olive green eggs. Therefore they are mixed.
Which wouldn’t be a huge deal however when you’re paying $40 per bird, they shouldn’t be mixed.
They’re beautiful hens but no one should be paying $40 for an olive or Easter egger.
Which is most likely what you’re getting ordering these chicks. All the chicks I ordered were beautiful and healthy but I’m giving 3 stars due to mixed birds.

Baby Chicks: Lavender Ameraucana Female
Purchased for blue eggs, fell in love with their personalties.
I’m a first time chicken keeper and I thought I wanted a flock of fluffy silkies and on a whim later added some Lavender Ameraucanas to the flock. Our silkies were about a month old when we got our Ameraucana chicks.
I love my silkies, but not half as much as I love these hilarious Ameraucanas.
They were rough and tumble as chicks, bowling each other over to get to the scratch first. A little skittish around us the first few weeks and I wasn’t convinced at first that I loved them, but that changed quickly. We called them the little linebackers for the first month, lol.
They are almost two months old now and they literally have the sweetest deposition. They are the first out of the coop in the mornings (still knocking each other out of the way to be the first one out).
They will come running up to the run door to greet you. And if I find half an hour in the day to go and sit with them, they fight for who gets to sit in my lap (they all eventually win). They are like little puppies, but so much better.
As far as appearance I think the lavender color is unique. It’s almost a bluish gray in person. Some have pink beaks and some solid black (that’s the only way we can tell them apart, besides personality and all of them have lots of that). They all have soft gray inquisitive eyes.
I have never gone into the coop without one of them making me laugh. Well worth the investment and I hope they live a very long time because we adore them. Best purchase I have made all year!
