You've been pestering us to carry organic, medication free, Scratch for the longest time. We're thrilled to finally be able to offer it because it IS so hard to find.
Remember, scratch is a TREAT, to be offered like a "dessert" only. There's a reason it's called "chicken crack" -- your flock will go absolutely bonkers for it, in the same way we might go bonkers for ice cream or cinnamon buns. But you wouldn't eat ice cream for every meal, and nor should your hens regularly feast on scratch. Throw them a few handfuls now and again, however, and you'll be BFFs.
A mix of organic cracked corn, organic milo, organic whole wheat, and organic whole oats, this gorgeous nutritional mix is ideal as a supplemental treat for an extra source of energy for all classes of poultry. With a natural source of essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, this treat mix is sure to give a healthy nutritional boost to your feathered friends while also winning their trust in your care.

The ingredients and appearance of your Scratch may vary depending on availability. However, we are confident that our USDACertified Organic feed includes the finest ingredients.
Take note that pesticides are not used in the production of organic feed so it may not be bug free, especially during the hottest part of the summer. But not to worry, your chickens will love the extra protein from the bugs!!

Disappointed With the organic scratch green. I have eight-year-old organic hens that are still not really excited about eating it! Most scratch grains overwhelmingly Consist of corn! I was hoping this unique blend of grains would be encouraging. I get new baby chicks in May. I will offer them the scratch grain when they are able. Let’s see how it goes! I also don’t think your scratch grains should be packaged in paper bags. Not good to keep the moisture out! Storage is important!

The chickens love it and I love that it's organic. Our hens are free range so we use it to train them to go to areas where we want them to dig and to keep them away from areas we don't want them to go.
