Description:
Provide entertainment for the flock and yourself while watching them peck the boredom away! This veggie treat ball is great for chickens, ducks, and geese. You can stuff this hanging toy with cabbage, lettuce and other veggie treats your flock might enjoy. Or you can remove the chain and let the flock use it as a rolling treat ball.
7" wide x 5.5" deep x 7" high
Chickens, ducks, and geese in confinement without adequate stimulation may pick on each other out of boredom. This Veggie Ball will keep them entertained and help prevent pecking each other. For added boredom-prevention, hang it at a height that requires your chickens to jump for a bit of treat!
Other products that can help greatly with boredom are listed below, in the "related products" section. If you're concerned your flock is suffering from boredom, you might also try adding fall leaves, or grass clippings for them to dig through and spread. (These additions also help the poo in their run break down and compost, too!)

Chicken Treat Ball - Fill with Vegetables
I've had this for a while and am finally writing a review. This is a lot of fun for the hens, the swinging adds an extra element of enrichment. As others have said, cabbage and lettuce heads work best in this. I've also stuffed it with hen it and chickweed, and I get a kick out of watching them pull strands out. I love chickens tetherball. :)

Chicken Treat Ball - Fill with Vegetables
I havent gotten the chickens to use it. They are so chicken about a lot of things, especially odd looking things like this ball. I thought it was a novel idea and I wanted them to eat their veggies and supply them with a good variety of food.
I will keep trying. It looks very well made and overall happy with my whole purchase!

I only gave a 4 star rating because I wish the holes were a little smaller to be more versatile.

Chicken Treat Ball - Fill with Vegetables
This is a huge help for rainy days when the girls are staying inside the run. Add 1 ball of lettuce (which is so cheap for a chicken treat cant beat that!) and the whole flock can have a side salad!

Chicken Treat Ball - Fill with Vegetables
It is crazy hot and humid here and we can only allow 4 of 8 groups of ladies out per day. We have fans going constantly, but they are not loving being cooped and I can't blame them. These treat balls give them an opportunity to play and peck at something interesting on their inside days. I've just ordered 4 more.

Chicken Treat Ball - Fill with Vegetables
My chicken flock was a little hesitant and scared at first of this hanging treat ball but after getting used to it, they now love it!
It provides them lots of entertainment and I love watching their silly antics. The wire ball is easy to open and close.
