Description:
Buff Orpington chickens are big, friendly dual-purpose birds originally developed in the UK. Orpingtons are the only way to go for many small farms and homesteaders!
They're cold-hardy due to their fluffy plumage. Wonderful mothers, they do go broody. Nothing is more charming than seeing a mother Orpington and her fluffy new baby chicks peeking from beneath her wings in a clover field on a sunny day. Plus, they're gentle and friendly, besides being good layers.
The Buff Orpington is the most popular of all varieties of Orpington--a pretty, bright, pale "buffed" copper color that is striking as eye candy on a green lawn.

Additional Pullet Information
- These pullets will be vaccinated for Marek's disease and MG (Mycoplasma gallisepticum)
- Our six-week started pullets are floor-raised and socialized with humans, and their beaks are intact--we never trim.
- Please keep your 6-week-olds quarantined from your existing flock for four or more weeks, and take care when introducing them.

Pullet Shipping Information
- All Started Juveniles are shipped USPS Express Mail.
- Due to import regulations, we cannot ship to Iowa, Nevada, West Virginia, Texas, or Hawaii.
- Pullets will ship on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of the designated shipping week. You will receive an email with tracking information once they leave the farm.

I just love them, they are beautiful. The one named Let’s go Lottie is pretty fast and she is the leader, she is first to do everything, then there is Foxy Frances, she is the largest and the prettiest, she prances and then there is Happy Harriet, she just goes along. They are healthy and look beautiful, it took several days for them to settle in and stop being so nervous, but now they come running when I call them to eat. So cute!

Pullets: Buff Orpington
These are our first chickens and I was a bit nervous about having them shipped to Southern California. The staff was extremely helpful. I was contacted when they were about to ship and I set up text alerts from the postal service so that I could track them. In less than 24 hours from shipping, I had six beautiful, healthy pullets! I ordered two Buff Orpingtons and they have already won over our hearts. They are so sweet!

We have only had our Buff Orpington pullet for a week, but she is a healthy, beautiful little sweetheart. (Based on our experience with this breed, they are just what people say they are, "the golden retrievers of the chicken world".

Pullets: Buff Orpington
We have had our 4 hens since July. They have been laying average 3 extra large brown eggs per day, all Winter. The only reason I only gave them 4 stars is because, the supposed quietest of chickens, they are the noisiest chickens I have ever owned. They squawk very loudly, at everything, all day. Had to move them farther from the house. LoL
