Description:

Take the guesswork out of winter power management with the Thermo Cube Double Receptacle Cold Weather Outlet. This power-saving outlet features a built-in ambient temperature sensor that automatically turns connected devices on and off based on outdoor temperatures.

When the air temperature drops below 35°F (2°C), the outlet automatically turns on, supplying power to heaters, water de-icers, or other cold-weather equipment. Once temperatures rise above 45°F (7°C), the outlet shuts off, helping conserve energy, reduce electricity costs, and extend the life of your heating equipment.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the Thermo Cube easily plugs into a standard 120 VAC NEMA 5-15 outlet and provides two receptacles, allowing you to power multiple devices at once. Its automatic operation increases electrical efficiency while protecting equipment by ensuring devices only run when needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use an outlet on a GFCI-protected circuit that gets as cold as the space you're heating. The Thermo Cube reads the air temperature where it's plugged in, so an outlet in a heated garage or basement won't switch your coop heater on when the coop gets cold.
We don't recommend it. Chicks need steady heat day and night, and the Thermo Cube switches off above 45°F. Plug a brooder heater straight into the wall.
Coop heaters like the Sweeter Heater and other cold-weather equipment that plugs into a standard 120V outlet. It has two outlets; keep the combined load within its 15-amp rating.
The Thermo Cube turns on below 35°F, turns off above 45°F and is made for indoor and outdoor use. The Tempro turns on at about 39°F, is made for sheltered indoor outlets, and has a pilot light that shows when it's powering your devices.
